Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

This Butterfly Conservatory is the best place to start your trip to Cambridge. Just like the name suggests, this wonderful and unique conservatory is home to around 2000 butterflies and other exotic birds. It is such a wonderful place to spend your time when you are in Cambridge. The tropical gardens and the paved pathways provide a very scenic view of the park which also makes this place a great recreational center. 

This park also has a Cafe that serves delicious food. We highly recommend that you make your stop here and grab a quick meal on your visit. Also, don’t forget to buy some souvenirs on your way back from their popular gift shop.

Timings: Open all days a week. 10 am to 5 pm.

Things to do: explore the conservation area and find out about the different species of Butterflies and birds. Go for a small day trip and visit the Cafe and gift shop as well.

Riverside Park 

Riverside Park is a lovely natural area in Cambridge which is really good for picnics and relaxing day trips. It has beautiful and well-kept playgrounds that have something fun to do for people of every age. Apart from this, there are tennis courts, baseball grounds, and splash pads as well which makes it a perfect community park.

Timings: Open all day. 7 am to 11 pm.

Things to do: go for picnics and walks in the park. Riverside Park is also famous for its picturesque views and natural beauty, so you can also visit this park for sightseeing and leisure walks.

Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge 

Located in historic downtown Cambridge, this spectacular state-of-the-art theatre is a perfect getaway destination. The stunning architecture, acoustics, and setting provide an amazing opportunity for all the entertainment enthusiasts who want to catch a show on their vacation. Hamilton Family Theatre is not only has a great setting with the Grand River on its side but also provides unparalleled experience in terms of entertainment.

Historic Galt

Galt is a neighborhood in Cambridge, Ontario known for its heritage and cultural diversity. It is a great place for a short trip and walking tours to explore the local culture and lifestyle. We think that the best possible way to explore any new city is by taking walking tours of the city and exploring the art and architecture. The historic Galt neighborhood offers just the same. You can go there for a small day trip and spend your time beside the Grand River. The place is so serene and wonderful that you will forget all your worries for a while.

Things to do: you can go there for a small picnic and outdoor recreational activities. The place is perfect for heritage Walking tours and educational programs. There are a number of fine dining restaurants where you can stop by and have a meal. We would highly recommend that you take a walk beside the river and enjoy the picturesque views of this town.

Mill Race Park

This Race Park is a great place if you want to time travel back to the 1800s on your vacation. Well, why not? This unique Park has the remains of an 1847 mill and is a major tourist attraction of the city. People visit this park for all kinds of interactive activities. From spending a nice relaxing day by the river or revisiting some historical events, you can get a full package while you are here.

There are a number of trails here as well where you can enjoy the beautiful weather and picturesque views of the park.

Timings: Open all days a week. 8 am to 11 pm.

Things to do: go for a picnic. Explore the remains of the mill and get more information about their historical importance. You can also spend your day by the river and enjoy the lush green gardens. There are well-kept picnic spots and other facilities that you can enjoy. 

Homer Watson House and Gallery 

Homer Watson House and Gallery are located in Kitchener town of Ontario which is only 2 kilometers away from Cambridge. You can easily go there by driving or renting a car. This place is also a great avenue for exploring other neighboring cities and getting to know more than just one city.

Talking about the Gallery, it is named after one of the most famous landscape artists of Canada, Homer Watson, who was recognized internationally for his work. Now, this Gallery preserves and displays his work and inspires many other artists to follow their journeys. 

This Gallery is home to many beautiful artworks and celebrates his legacy in a very wonderful way. Make sure to visit this place and get a full sensory experience of his art.

McDougall Cottage Historic Site

McDougall Cottage Historic Site is another famous attraction in the city of Cambridge. This historic site preserves and celebrates Scottish heritage. Fashion History Museum

The Fashion History Museum is a unique one-of-its-kind place in Cambridge that displays the history of fashion. It is a really great place if you are looking to explore something fun and exciting on your trip. 

It has a wide collection of artworks and clothes that displays the history and lifestyle from various eras. We highly suggest that you should visit this place to find out something new.

Shade’s Mills Conservation Area 

Located within the city of Cambridge, this beautiful natural park is one of the best places to explore the wildlife of the city. It spans over an area of 100 acres and contains some stunning wetlands and forests. It is a perfect spot for picnicking, hiking, and appreciating wildlife.

The most attractive feature of this conservation area is that it is home to over 700 species of plants and a variety of reptiles and animals. With over 220 species of migratory birds, this is an even perfect spot for birdwatchers. Make sure to visit this place for a relaxing and fun time.

Things to do: it is a great place for picnics and outdoor trips. You can also enjoy leisure walks and hiking in the region. This Conservation Area is a great sightseeing place as well.

Cambridge Farmers’ Market

Farmer’s Market is the most popular Market among the locals and visitors alike. This Market is located in the center of the town and operates only on weekends. Often known as the Market Square, this place is known for its organic and unique products. You can find farm products and goods that are naturally grown and some of them are only grown in Canada. This Market is a must-visit if you are a foodie and would want to try the local food culture and shop some of them for your home. 

Timings: Saturday and Sunday. 8 am to 12 noon.

Things to do: visit the local market, explore the local culture and food, do some shopping, try out new food products.
