Brockville Railway Tunnel is an iconic landmark of the city. This Tunnel holds a unique piece of history and we highly recommend that you should check out this place for a wonderful experience. It is the location of Canada’s first railway tunnel which was one kilometer long and passed from this city.

This place has now been renovated and is considered one of the most famous tourist attractions of Ontario. They hold special events for the visitors like the light and sound show. You can also spend a nice relaxing day here sightseeing and exploring the wonderful history of this town.

Timings: The tunnel is only open during the summer months. During the season, it is open from 9 am to 9 pm. All days a week.

Blockhouse Island

We highly recommend that you visit the Blockhouse Islands to get the best of Brockville. It is located right on the shores of the great St Lawrence River where you can enjoy the mighty waves and picturesque views of the shoreline. There are a number of great cafes in the area where you can dine. One of the most popular cafes is the Don’s Fish and Chip shop where you should try the local cuisines.

Brockville Arts Centre is a great place for any cultural enthusiast who wishes to explore the local entertainment and music of this town. This is the one place where you can find all sorts of fun events to do. You can watch a movie screening or attend a live music show. They also host several Canadian artists every week to showcase their talent. From comedy to theatrical performances, you can find anything that you wish to enjoy.

This beautiful seaside park is a perfect picnic spot in Brockville. St Lawrence Park is a one-stop place for all your fun and recreational activities in Brockville. You can relax on the beach and enjoy the scenic views of St Lawrence River while also having some of the best snacks in the town.

There are a lot of picnic tables and shaded areas which provide great ease for a private and cozy day out. You can also bring your family here and let your kids enjoy the beautiful playgrounds.

Another major attraction is that this park is located at a very convenient location from the cafes and restaurants, so you can grab a meal while you’re visiting the park. We highly suggest you visit the park and sunbathe.

The Brock Trail

For all the adventure junkies, this is an absolutely wonderful place to visit in Brockville. Located in the historic downtown of the city, this trail is one of the most beautiful sightseeing destinations that you can find in Brockville. The Brock Trail is 8 kilometers long and continues north along Buell’s Creek to the southern side of the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area.

If you are looking to do some hiking on your trip, we highly suggest that you plan your visit here. The starting point of this trail is the Canteen Park which follows the famous Railway Tunnel and Blockhouse Island which makes the Brock trail a perfect pick for your vacation.

Timings: Open all day. 24 hours.

Things to do: go hiking, trekking, and cycling. The pathways are paved and run smoothly throughout the 8-kilometer long hike. You should also visit this place for sightseeing and exploring as it offers scenic views of the city.

Mac Johnson Wildlife Area

Mac Johnson Wildlife Area is a perfect place to hike and bike in any season. This beautiful area offers an 11-kilometer long trail with picturesque views to explore and enjoy. The paths are clean, wide, and safe and are the best place in Brockville to sit back and enjoy the beauty of nature. If you plan to visit this Wildlife Area, make sure you visit the Wildflower Loop which has been recently developed and has great picnic spots on its sides.

To experience Brockville at its finest, 1000 Islands and Seaway Cruises are the best place. These cruises provide a very fun and exciting way to visit this seashore city. They offer several tour packages and you can choose the one you like according to your plans. Their common tours and the sightseeing cruise, dining cruise, and the special events cruise that is open for festivals and the New Year. 

We highly recommend that you enjoy a ride on this wonderful cruise and explore the most breathtaking sights that you can find in Ontario.

The steamships are open only in the months of May to October and if you are planning to take a ride, make sure you plan your visit accordingly. 

Timings: 9 am to 4 pm. Mondays and Fridays are closed.

Hall’s Apple Market

Hall’s Apple Market is a wonderful place for a short detour to get a glimpse of the culture and lifestyle of Brockville. It is located on Concession Road and is a one-stop shop for all your bakery needs. They not only provide fresh apples in the town but also run an amazing bakery that serves delicious apple pies. You can also shop for some apples for yourself and pick the ones you like straight from the farm. It is a very nice and relaxing olive for a small getaway and we totally think that you should add this to your list.

Monday to Saturday- 8 am to 5 pm.

Sundays- 8 am to 2 pm.

Things to do: take a guided tour of the farm and explore how the plantation is carried on. Visit their bakery and enjoy some Apple pies. You can also shop for something on your way back.
